ABOUT LANA GULDEN
If you have ever attended a meeting, voiced your concern at a rally or protest, or have supported a progressive cause, you have likely met this year’s honoree. She is everywhere. She does so much and lends her heart to so many important issues.

Lana Gulden is the epitome of a true forward thinker. She researches, analyzes, and thoughtfully grows her belief system based on fact and reason. But more importantly, she acts on her beliefs and principle. She has been involved in so many groups and campaigns that it would be impossible to list them all. Notably, she is a co-founder and board member of Susquehanna Valley Progress, she has been a leader of the ACLU, Central Susquehanna Chapter; she is on the Ex-Com of the Otzinachson Group of the Sierra Club; she is on the board of the Rivertown Coalition for Clean Air and Water; and she has been actively involved with Moms Demand Action for Sensible Gun Solutions, OUE, Planned Parenthood, and more.

The environment is her passion and she is particularly concerned about the health of the coral reefs, which she would explain is the ocean’s heart and lungs. She has enjoyed exploring the reefs with her family and particularly her daughter, Chris, who is confined to a wheelchair and can only feel truly free when she is scuba diving.

Lana is extremely knowledgeable on the issues of climate change, clean energy, and sustainability. She also advocates for civil rights, women’s reproductive freedoms, healthcare for all, and government reform.

Anyone who knows Lana Gulden absolutely adores her. She is not just a strong force in building a progressive world, she is an amazingly kind-hearted woman who is an amazing mentor and inspiration to us all.

Please join us to honor Lana Gulden on August 18th.
The event will be catered and will offer opportunities for networking and information sharing.
