This is a pivotal year for Pennsylvania courts. Pennsylvania voters will elect five justices to our state-wide courts, including three new justices to the Supreme Court alone. The ultimate make-up of these courts, as determined by this historical election, will influence the outcomes of countless legal cases.
This program will provide valuable insight on the role of each of these courts and underscores the importance of this year’s election in particular. Panelists will:
- discuss how judicial candidates are elected in Pennsylvania and explain the factors weighing in on this year’s election and the influence of campaign contributions;
- underscore the long-term influence these newly elected courts will have in regards to PA law, criticals issues and even redistricting;
- provide background on recent appellate cases; and
- share insight on issues that will likely come before the courts in upcoming years.
Attend this engaging discussion that will leave you more informed on the role of PA courts.
