Alex Skitolsky is a Lewisburg based theatre artist, activist, and organizer. His practice of developing creative approaches to contemporary social problems has yielded dozens of productions related to mental health, the environment, immigration, and human trafficking. In 2014-15, as a guest artist at Bucknell University, Alex created a series of interactive, in-class workshops on human trafficking and supervised the production of Andrew Kooman’s She Has a Name – a play about international sex trafficking – at Bucknell and Susquehanna University. In addition to be an outreach educator for Transitions, he is the outreach coordinator for the Lewisburg Prison Project and an MFA candidate in Interdisciplinary Arts at Goddard College.
